Bloomen & Ronald McDonald House Charities - Giving flowers to give back

Giving flowers to give back – How you can help support families in need

From spreading feelings of joy and happiness, to helping a loved one feel better when they are sick, to making a house feel like a home, we could go on and on about the numerous benefits of sending and receiving flowers. With the long-awaited arrival of summer, graduations, Best Friends Day, and wedding season upon us, June is the perfect time to surprise your favourite people with the beauty of flowers (p.s. sending flowers to yourself is always a good idea too!).  And now, thanks to a special partnership between Bloomen and the Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) Toronto Young Professionals Committee to celebrate RMHC Toronto’s 40th anniversary, sending flowers is also a way to support a great local cause and help seriously ill children and their families during a challenging time.

How does it work?

From June 1-15, up to five per cent of all Bloomen sales will go directly to RMHC Toronto. Plus, Bloomen will be providing a convenient donation option for customers at checkout allowing you the option to provide support with an additional donation to RMHC Toronto.

About RMHC Toronto and the Young Professionals Committee

Since 1981, Ronald McDonald House Charities® Toronto has served as a place to call home for families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment. RMHC Toronto encompasses a House for 81 families in downtown Toronto and seven Family Rooms in hospitals across the Greater Toronto Area and in Sudbury. The families they serve come from throughout Ontario, across Canada, and around the world.

The RMHC Toronto Young Professionals Committee (YPC) is dedicated to raising awareness and funds in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities® Toronto. Together, the YPC hosts events and activities to help families with seriously ill children stay together while they stay close to the care their child needs.
