Lets Get Started

Clean your vase with soap and water. The cleaner your vase the lower the level of bacteria. A clean vase is important for the life of your flowers.

Our flowers were just cut from farms which means they will be thirsty. Fill the vase with cold tap water, usually two-thirds full. Too much water can speed decay of some stems and too little will hamper hydration. Add the contents of the first flower food sachet into the vase. The flower food sachet contains all the nutrients your flowers need and can increase vase-life by up to.

Keep those stems trimmed! Cut 2-3cm off each stem (and repeat every few days). Always cut your flowers at an angle so they can absorb more water. After the initial cut, check the bottoms of your stems every few days. If the ends are looking a bit slimy, just snip off the bottom few centimetres to keep your blooms hydrated and lengthen their life.

Take off any excess leaves so that all the water is funneled into the petals. Pay special attention to leaves below the water line because they’ll decompose, causing rot and bacteria to grow, which will shorten the lifespan of your blooms.

Be sure to keep the water topped-up. When the water becomes discoloured, change it. Dirty water will block the stems and hamper hydration. Be sure to add plant food each time you re-fill. Lightly spray down the petals from time to time to keep your stems looking fresh, and remove any buds that are clearly past their prime.

Last but not least, keep your flowers in a cool area. Don’t put them near radiators, computers, televisions, fireplaces, ovens, direct sunlight and ripening fruit
