The Yucca (Yucca elephantipes), also known as the Spineless Yucca or Stick Yucca, is a hardy, drought-tolerant plant native to arid regions of Mexico and Central America. With its thick, woody stems and spiky, sword-like leaves, it adds a bold, architectural touch to any indoor space. Indoors, it can grow up to 5-8 feet tall, making it a striking statement plant.
SIZE: Dimensions (including pot): Approx. 22.5" x 16" x 15" ; Pot width: 7". Pot style shown in picture
LIKES: Thrives in bright, indirect light but can also tolerate some direct sun. Prefers warm temperatures and dry conditions, making it an excellent low-maintenance plant.
DISLIKES: Overwatering is its biggest enemy—too much moisture can cause root rot. Also dislikes low light, which may lead to weak, leggy growth.
HEALTH BENEFITS: Known for its air-purifying properties, the Yucca helps remove toxins such as benzene and formaldehyde from indoor air, promoting a healthier living space.
WATERING AND FEEDING: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, roughly every 2-3 weeks, depending on the season. Feed with a diluted, balanced fertilizer once a month during the growing season.
LIVING WITH PETS AND CHILDREN: Mildly toxic if ingested, so it’s best to keep it out of reach of pets and small children. The leaves have sharp edges, so handle with care.
