The ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) is a tough, low-maintenance houseplant native to Eastern Africa. Known for its glossy, deep green leaves and upright growth, it can tolerate neglect, making it perfect for beginners. Indoors, it typically grows to about 2 to 3 feet tall and spreads slowly through underground rhizomes that store water, helping it survive in drought-like conditions.

SIZE: Dimensions (including pot): Approx. 14.5" x 9" x 11" ; Pot width: 7". Pot style shown in picture

LIKES: Thrives in low to bright indirect sunlight, making it a versatile choice for almost any indoor space. It also prefers warm temperatures and can tolerate dry air.

DISLIKES: Overwatering is its biggest enemy. Too much moisture can lead to root rot, so avoid letting it sit in water. Also dislikes direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves.

HEALTH BENEFITS: A powerful air purifier, the ZZ Plant helps remove toxins like xylene, toluene, and benzene from indoor air, improving overall air quality.

WATERING AND FEEDING: Requires minimal watering—allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water roughly once every 2-3 weeks, depending on light and humidity levels. Feed with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer every few months during the growing season.

LIVING WITH PETS AND CHILDREN: Mildly toxic if ingested, so keep it out of reach of pets and small children. While not deadly, it can cause stomach irritation if chewed.
